Who We Help
You will meet with your therapist to determine your individual therapeutic goals. We will work with you to cultivate an experience of safety that is custom-tailored to your needs. Our treatment plans do not come out of a pre-populated manual. Your experience will be informed by evidence-based best practices, state-of-the-art treatment, and care of the whole person. We do both virtual and face-to-face appointments in 50 or 75-minute sessions.
Couples & Relationships
We offer 50-minute or 80-minute sessions focused on intimacy, communication, and relationship building. Our focus is on helping build partnerships, repair ruptures, and enhance relationships. The emphasis is on skill-building and navigating upcoming life challenges to keep your relationship thriving. Whether you would like to repair your relationship or enhance your emotional and sexual intimacy, we are here to help you succeed.
We are cognizant of the unique challenges the LGBTQ+ community faces. We can assist with exploring sexual or gender identity, starting the process for transition-related care, and facilitating individual or couples therapy. We appreciate and welcome individuals of all sexual identities and gender identities. Our team understands both monogamous and non-monogamous relationships/polygamy, kink, and we work with you to create a safe environment to process your emotions and personal growth.
We utilize group therapy by selecting people who have commonalities to join together in a confidential and safe setting to share their personal experiences. Our goal is for participants to grow as a result of sharing each others’ experiences and solutions. Working with a group also helps to normalize sensitive issues and find a way to relate to others sharing the same concerns.
What Makes Boutique-Style Therapy Different?

Our general approach to trauma is to find ways to help clients face what has happened to them so they can be free from the continuing grip it has on their lives. We often say, “The only way over trauma is to go through it.” Our providers strive to empower people to gain strength by facing their past. We also help people distinguish what happened to them from who they are.
Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) is a treatment modality often used to treat trauma and other concerns, including performance enhancement. EMDR is one of the most revolutionary treatments available for processing traumatic experiences. It is personalized and customized to each individual to help process trauma.
Sex & Relationship Therapy
While there is often a sense of discomfort around the topic of sex, we strive to normalize the discussion. Individuals, couples, or partners can work with us to discuss topics like healing from sexual trauma or navigating desire discrepancy issues. We can focus on increasing intimacy, improving sexual communication and wellness, addressing issues related to shame, navigating ENM/poly relationship structures, as well as concerns around arousal, performance, and desire.

Anxiety & Depression
Anxiety and depression are very common concerns in many people’s lives today. Even though a majority of people suffer from anxiety or depression, there is still a sense of shame that surrounds these issues. As a matter of fact, both of these concerns go hand-in-hand, and we will work with you to help you be free from the crippling effects of anxiety and depression.
Life transitions can often cause undue stress on an individual and their relationships. We teach our clients to manage issues that arise from any life transition and to understand what is happening. Whether it is aging, getting married, divorcing, becoming parents, or moving to a new area, transitions are a part of life that we can learn to cope successfully with.
Workshops & Retreats
Unicorn utilizes workshops and personal retreats to articulate common issues and problems. We offer marital retreats as well as workshops on topics of anxiety, life transitions, parenting, divorce, stress, and grief. Workshops allow people to interact with these concepts, become educated, and build skills to manage their challenges. We teach people to focus on specific techniques related to these topics.
